PickAngle is committed to respecting Users’/ Couriers’/ Job Applicants’/ Partners’/ Investors’/ Prospects’/ Website Visitors’ (jointly named hereinafter as the “Data Subjects”) privacy and protecting their Personal data. In this sense, the aim of this Privacy Policy is to inform Data Subjects about PickAngle’s processing activities in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and applicable local laws.


PickAngle (“PickAngle” or “we”), with registered office at Plot 4 Ikono Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, is the controller of the personal data processing activities described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy provides information on the processing of personal data of Data Subjects who use our Platform (the app and website), contact us via the contact form available on our website, or interact with us in other ways, in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and applicable local laws.

By using the PickAngle Platform, Data Subjects accept the terms of this Privacy Policy. Use of our Platform after this Privacy Policy has been updated shall be deemed to constitute consent by Data Subjects in Nigeria or whose data is processed by PickAngle, to the updated or modified Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by local law. PickAngle will notify the Data Subjects in advance in case of substantial changes and modifications to the Privacy Policy by e-mail or through any other means that ensures its receipt.


PickAngle will in no event modify its policies or practices to make them less effective in the protection of its Data Subjects' personal data.
This policy complies with the NDPA and is governed by Nigerian law.

Data Subjects


This Privacy Policy applies to the following categories of Data Subjects, including Nigerian residents or citizens whose data is processed by PickAngle:


Users: Individuals who use the PickAngle Platform to place orders for delivery of products or services.
Couriers: Independent contractors who use the PickAngle Platform to provide delivery services.
Job Applicants: Individuals who apply for positions at PickAngle.
Partners: Businesses or individuals who partner with PickAngle for supply or other services.
Investors and Prospects: Individuals or entities interested in investing in PickAngle.
Website Visitors: Individuals who visit the PickAngle website without registering or placing an order.


Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data necessary for the provision of our services. The types of personal data we collect depend on the category of Data Subject and the purpose of processing.


For Users:
Identification data: name, surname, email address, phone number.
Delivery data: delivery address, order details.
Payment data: credit card details (processed via third-party providers; not stored on PickAngle servers).
Location data: GPS coordinates for delivery tracking (with consent).
Device data: IP address, device ID, browser type.

For Couriers:
Identification data: full name, ID document, photo.
Contact data: email, phone, address.
Professional data: driver's license, vehicle details, insurance.
Location data: real-time GPS for routing.
Payment data: bank account for payouts.
Background check data: criminal records only with explicit consent or as required for compliance (e.g., under Nigerian Labour Act or transport regulations).


For Job Applicants:
Identification and contact data: name, email, phone, CV.
Professional data: work experience, education, references.
For Partners, Investors, Prospects, and Website Visitors:
Contact data: name, email, company.


Interaction data: form submissions, newsletter subscriptions.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (e.g., racial or ethnic origin, health, political opinions, religious beliefs, genetic or biometric data) unless required for legal compliance or with explicit consent. High-risk processing (e.g., location data) undergoes Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) per NDPA Section 31.


How We Collect Personal Data
Directly from Data Subjects: when registering, placing orders, applying for jobs, or contacting us.
Automatically: through cookies, tracking technologies on the Platform and website (see Cookie Policy).
From third parties: payment processors, background check providers, partners (e.g., restaurants for order fulfillment).
Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis
We process personal data for the following purposes:
Provision of Services: To process orders, manage deliveries, pay couriers.
Legal basis: Performance of contract (NDPA Section 25(1)(b)).
User Experience Improvement: Analyze usage, personalize recommendations.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (NDPA Section 25(1)(e)). We conduct balancing tests and provide opt-out options.
Marketing: Send promotions, newsletters (with opt-in).
Legal basis: Consent (NDPA Section 25(1)(a)).
Compliance and Security: Prevent fraud, comply with laws, resolve disputes.
Legal basis: Legal obligation (NDPA Section 25(1)(c)), legitimate interest.
HR Purposes: For job applicants, to evaluate applications.
Legal basis: Consent or pre-contractual measures (NDPA Section 25(1)(b)).
Business Development: For partners/investors, to manage relationships.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest or contract (NDPA Section 25(1)(e) or (b)).
Sharing of Personal Data


We share personal data only as necessary:
Service Providers: Payment processors, cloud storage, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), background check services. They are bound by NDPA-compliant Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) covering security, audits, and sub-processing.
Partners: Restaurants/merchants receive order details (anonymized where possible).


Authorities: In response to legal requests.
Business Transfers: In case of merger or acquisition.
We do not sell personal data. International transfers comply with NDPA safeguards, including NDPC-approved adequacy, binding corporate rules, or explicit consent after risk warnings (Section 43).


Data Retention
Personal data is retained as long as necessary for the purposes, or as required by law:
User data: Duration of relationship + 7 years for financial records under the Finance Act.
Courier data: While active + 3 years post-termination.
Job applicant data: 2 years or until withdrawal.


Marketing data: Until opt-out.
Retention complies with NDPA Section 28 and Nigerian laws (e.g., 7 years for financial records under Finance Act). We review retention annually via compliance audits. After retention, data is deleted or anonymized.


Data Subject Rights
Under NDPA and local laws, Data Subjects have rights to:
Access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten").
Restriction, objection to processing.


Data portability.
Withdraw consent.
Object to automated processing affecting legal rights (NDPA Section 37).
Lodge complaints with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Security Measures
PickAngle implements technical and organizational measures:
Encryption of data in transit and at rest.

Access controls, regular audits.
Employee training on data protection.
Incident response plan.


We conduct annual compliance audits and notify NDPC/users of breaches within 72 hours if required (NDPA Section 45). No system is 100% secure; we notify of breaches as required.

Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. For under-13s, we require verifiable parental consent (NDPA Section 33). For 13-17, we follow NDPC guidelines.
